No Place to Hide
In this blurred photo, you may just be able to see my grandog's nose peeping out from under the cupboard door. He does this whenever we watch sport. I think we must've shouted encouragement or outrage so many times at so many sporting events that he has learned it is best to lay low on these occasions. He suffers a little from the 'if I can't see you, you can't see me' syndrome that I remember from when I was a child avoiding going to bed. He hasn't learnt yet that hiding doesn't make things go away. What he has learnt is that when he does decide to emerge and face us, whether we have won or lost, it isn't as bad as he thought and we still love him.
